چکیده

The determination of the thermo-physical properties (density, specific heat capacity, and thermal conductivity) hygroscopic reactive solid materials, as those applied in sorption thermochemical storage systems, is not trivial. Lack precision measurement contradictory results make it difficult to enter these parameters programs used for simulating functioning operating scenarios devices. For this reason, different techniques have been compared order improve accuracy measurement. In particular, there was a difference conductivity (about 30%) between hot disc experiments others, well higher dispersion experimental data (MAD > 19%). same found capacity ≈14%). Hence, transient disk method suitable estimating type material. Nevertheless, technique enables good estimation effusivity. were investigated by wire TG-DSC, respectively. A slight increase with temperature observed, but range 70–95 °C, value constant at 913 J kg−1 K−1. methodology validated comparing calculated effusivity values.

GIS-NaP1 zeolite microspheres as potential water adsorption material: Influence of initial silica concentration on adsorptive and physical/topological properties

GIS-NaP1 zeolite samples were synthesized using seven different Si/Al ratios (5-11) of the hydrothermal reaction mixtures having chemical composition Al2O3:xSiO2:14Na2O:840H2O to study the impact of Si/Al molar ratio on the water vapour adsorption potential, phase purity, morphology and crystal size of as-synthesized GIS-NaP1 zeolite crystals. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) observations reveal tha...

Heat and Mass Transfer Characteristics of a Zeolite 13x/cacl2 Composite Adsorbent in Adsorption Cooling Systems

The performance of the adsorption cooling system using the zeolite 13X/CaCl2 composite adsorbent was studied using a numerical simulation. The novel zeolite 13X/CaCl2 composite adsorbent with superior adsorption properties was developed in previous studies [11]. It has high equilibrium water uptake of 0.404 g/g between 25C and 100C under 870Pa. The system specific cooling power (SCP) and coeffi...

Experimental Characterization of Adsorption and Transport Properties for Advanced Thermo - Adsorptive Batteries

Thermal energy storage has received significant interest for delivering heating and cooling in both transportation and building sectors. It can minimize the use of on-board electric batteries for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) in electric vehicles (EVs) or reduce electricity consumption during peak demand in residential and commercial buildings. A compact and lightweight advan...

Adsorption characteristics of ammonium ion by zeolite 13X.

With synthetic wastewater, lab-scale batch experiments and column experiments were carried out to investigate the adsorption characteristics of ammonium ion by zeolite 13X which is a hydrothermally synthetic byproduct accompanied with preparation of potassium carbonate from insoluble potash ores. The Langmuir and Freundlich models were applied to describe the equilibrium isotherms for ammonium ...
